SepraTek has sucessfully commercialized Membrane Contactor system for methane purification from Bio-gas. The membrane contactor system is composed of two processes:

1) gassing process of absorbing CO2 into water from bio-gas and

2) degassing process of desorbing CO2 from water, regenerating water.

No absorbent is not employed except water in the Membrane Contactor System for separating CO2 from bio-gas, being environmental friendly.

The Membrane Contactor System could also be applicable to various areas; VOC separation from waste stream for reuse, prodcution of ultra-pure water for semi-conductor industry, removal of sources for fine and ultra-fine dust from flue gases and so on.
