RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
A condition of an elevated temperature of feed and/or low pressure(vacuum) of permeate will facilitate the evaporation of the low bp component (MC).
Membrane is highly porous and hydrophobic, which repels bulk water but allows MC vapor to permeate through pores in it.
According to the permeation principle described above, MC vapor selectively permeates through pores in membrane, while high bp component (water) is left behind, resulting in separation or concentration of the high bp component.
