Membrane contactor for treatment of waste water
SepraTek has successfully developed membrane contactor process to remove NH3 nitrogen from waste water and produce ammonia water of 20% NH3 with the removed NH3. The membrane contactor process is composed of 2 processes: 1) degassing of NH3 from waste water and 2) gassing of the recovered NH3 into water to produce ammonia water with 20 % which can be used in the fabrication of rechargeable battery. In the degassing process the NH3 concentration reduces down from 3000 PPM to 50 PPm or below in waste water, while the removed NH3 from the degassing process is absorbed in water to produce ammonia water with 20% in the gassing process. The new membrane contactor process will contribute to its economical value as well as enviromental aspect.
