Distillation/pervaporation system

 

실험실 규모의 증류/투과증발 연계장치를 개발하여 폭넓은 종류의 혼합물과 넓은 농도 범위의 혼합물을 효율적으로, 경제적으로 분리할 수 있는 공정 연구를 진행 중에 있다.

 

증류탑에는 탑 길이 방향으로 기액 혼합물을 교반할 수 있는 교반장치가 장착이 되어 있어, 교반 속도에 따라 증류 단수를 이론적으로 무한대까지 설정할 수가 있다. 증류탑 길이 방향으로 온도 profile을 줄 수 있도록 heating장치가 설치되어 있으며 reboiler는 실리콘 열매체에 의한 간접 heating 방식을 채용하여 세밀한 온도 조절기능을 부여 하였다. 진공 펌프가 장착되어 있어 감압 증류도 수행할 수가 있다.

 

투과증발 공정의 종류인 증기투과(Vapor permeation) 막장치가 증류탑 위에 연결 장착이 되어있어, 증기상태의 distillate가 증류탑으로 부터 막모듈에 공급되어 증기투과 공정에 의해 distillate의 순도를 더 높일 수가 있다.

A hybrid system of distillation and pervaporation processes has been sucessfully developed, being able to perform the investigation of process to effectively and economically separate a wide range of mixtures as well as a mixtue having a large concentration range to be concentrated.    

 

The distillation system has a flexibility in process operation: the distillation tower is equipped with an agitation device which can agitate the vapor/liquid mixture along with the length of the tower, resulting in effective contact between them. Thus, the number of distillation stages can be determined, depending on the agitation speed, theoretically up to infinite stages. The tower is also equipped with a heating system to give temperature profile along the tower height, and the reboiler is heated indirectly by circulation of a heating medium of silicone. In addition, vacuum distillation will also be able to be carried out by the vacuum pump installed.

 

The pervaporation (vapor permeation) unit enable the distillate from distillation tower to be highly purified: The pervaporation unit is installed to the top of the distillation tower from which a distillate is fed into the pervaporation membrane module and purfied to high degree by the pervpaoration process.
