About SepraTek’s flat sheet membrane fabricating machines
Sepratek's flat membrane manufacturing machine consists of an autoclave tank for preparing dope solution, an unwinder of support layer for casting the coating solution, a casting device (slot-die or casting knife), a humidity chamber, a coagulation tank, an extraction tank, a dryer, and a take-up. The standard widths of the membranes are 6, 12, 24, and 42 inches, but custom designs are also available. Adopting a PLC system, it precisely controls the casting process, such as temperature, tension and speed in operation.
In VIPS (vapor induced phase transition) process, a chamber that can control humidity and temperature can be chosen as an option to precisely control the formation of porous structures in membrane preparation.

Continuous casting on non-woven fabric or PET film
Casting width : 6 inches
Configurational components: an autoclave tank for preparation of a dope solution, a gear pump for the transfer of the dope solution to a casting unit, a slot die for casting, a casting roll, a coagulation tank, a tension controller, a casting speed controller, a take-up unit, and PLC.
Casting process: NIPS (non-solvent induced phase separation) process
Casting temperature: RT~80 ℃
Casting speed: 0.5 ~ 10 m/min
Casting thickness: 20 ~ 300 ㎛
Slot-die and casting roll assembly
Flat membrane casting machine (FS-102)
Continuous casting on non-woven fabric or PET film.
Casting width: 12 inches.
Configurational components: an autoclave tank for preparation of a dope solution, a gear pump for the transfer of the dope solution to a casting unit, a slot die for casting, a casting roll, a coagulation tank, a tension controller, a casting speed controller, a take-up unit with a water bath, and PLC.

Flat membrane casting machine FS-103-VIPS
Most of configuration components are similar to FS-103 except a larger size of humidity chamber which will be advantageous to VIPS process for membrane fabrication.
Casting width: 6 inches.
Humidity chamber.
Temperatue: RT ~ 60 ℃
Humidity: RH 10 ~ 90 %
Casting process: NIPS/VIPS processes.
Flat membrane production line (FS-201)
Continuous casting on non-woven fabric or PET film
Casting width: 12 or 24 inches
Configurational components: an autoclave tank for preparation of a dope solution, a gear pump for the transfer of the dope solution to a casting unit, a slot die for casting, a casting roll, a humidity chamber, a coagulation tank, a tension controller, a casting speed controller, a dryer, a take-up unit with a water bath, EPC (Edge Position Controller), and PLC.

Continuous casting on non-woven fabric (composite membrane fabrication)
Casting width: 40 inches
Configurational components: an autoclave tank for preparation of a dope solution, a gear pump for the transfer of the dope solution to a casting unit, a slot die for casting, a casting roll, a humidity chamber, a coagulation tank, a tension controller, a casting speed controller, a dryer, a take-up unit with a water bath, EPC (Edge Position Controller), and PLC.
